Eight day adventurous cruise vacation to cultural and natural highlights of Indonesia's eastern islandsWelcome aboard for a journey of discovery to the secluded Eastern Islands of Indonesia. Most tourists barely know about them, let alone how to visit them. We used to offer these more off the beaten track journeys of discovery to charter parties only, but now you can join as well! From November through January our adventure cruises sail between East Lombok and Maumere, Flores (or vice-versa). You can fly easily from Bali to Lombok and then join a half-day tour to some traditional weaving and pottery villages before embarking the Ombak Putih. The boat then heads for the nature reserves of Moyo and Satonda. From here the boat sets sail for Komodo National Park. Heading eastwards from Komodo, we visit the picturesque fishermen village of Labuhanbajo and then onward to the Riung archipelago and the three colored lakes of Kelimutu, all on Flores. This cruise ends (or starts) in Maumere. You can fly back to Bali from Maumere. From March through April we sail from Bima (East Sumbawa) to Maumere (or vice-versa). Bima can be reached daily by plane from Bali. From Bima we sail to Komodo and then down south to East Sumba. From East Sumba we head eastwards to remote and mystical Sawu island for a one-and-half day stay. The next stop is the famous crater lakes of Kelimutu, Flores. Further east, we visit the last traditional whaling village of Lamalera before we head for Maumere. |
